Képaláírás: This one is the part of a daily contest of four churches built more or less in the same age, and photographed recently around Hungary (none of them are cathedrals or "main" churches of the cities or towns of their own, and none of them have been displayed on my photostream earlier). See the Miskolc, Eger, Pécs contestants, as well, and tell me please which one do you prefer. The church was built between 1721-25 in Baroque style, according to Márton Wittwer's plans, who was a Carmelite monk. The complex also involves a monastery. - The statue in the foreground describes Károly Kisfaludy, a poet and writer of Hungarian Romanticism.
